The Passive Income Experiment story must and will continue

So I started with the story of my experiment in the world of passive income earlier this month. The initial plan was to put this blog online to serve as a kind of diary of what I did and will do. On the other hand, I wanted to buy one or two more revenue-oriented domains at the same time. This blog is not meant to be my main source of passive income. In the future, I am counting on a few commissions as a hosting affiliate and affiliate for other tools I will purchase and successfully use. And who knows, if I will manage to drive a lot of traffic to this blog, maybe I will try to monetize it via banner ads. And this will probably be it.

And what is the situation at the moment?

Still sitting behind this blog and writing post to it. Why? Well, I believe there are several reasons for this.

Reason # 1: Learning process

As I mentioned a few times before, this blog is my first “very own peace of Internet“. I have been creating online content and articles before, but never for my own domain. First time in my life I bought my own hosting plan and a domain of my choice (ok, I got the domain free of charge for life, but you know what I mean). I am also a beginner in building a website in WordPress. Therefore, it is logical that I need to spend a little more time in the learning process than someone who has done it before.

I must say that so far I am very impressed. In fact, so impressed that I dedicate all my time to the changes to this blog. I tested and am still testing different page layouts, modules and menus. I changed three or four WordPress themes so far in search for the ultimate one. I created and posted a few articles. So there is no time left for the search and research of those keywords on which I plan to generate different types of passive income.

Reason # 2: The lack of keyword tool

The second reason is basically a continuation of the first. I need one or two “hot” keywords. After that my plan is to buy new domain names based on those keywords, around which I can build new websites and experiment with different forms of passive income. The more I get to know this “business”, the more I realize that I need a tool for the selection of good (great) keywords. Well, I don’t want to sound like a complete beginner. Let me tell you that I had this purchase planned long before the start of the passive income experiment project. However, currently this tool is not in my inventory yet. I am in the phase of selecting between different providers, because there are many tools available and I want to select the right one for my purpose. That is why I have not yet decided on launching new experiments, beside the blog you are currently reading, of course.

Reason # 3: Lack of time

Maybe this is not the real reason, because I devote as much time to the experiment as I had in mind at the beginning. And that is between one and three hours daily, approximately five days a week. In fact, a better description than lack of time would be incorrect distribution of the time devoted to the project. Or better yet, once again, I dedicate too much time to the theory and leave practical part sidelined. Maybe this is not so very wrong, because in spite of all I conquer new knowledge again and again, that will certainly come in handy later. This theory part is in a way mixed with practical part, since playing around with this blog online is available to you. It is a live project and not just an idea somewhere on paper or in my head.

The decision for the activities in the next week is therefore confirmed: to select the appropriate keyword research tool as soon as possible, to search for “money making” keywords and to purchase domain or two, related to those keywords. And then, forward, to new domains, new victories and new revenues ahead.

Thank you for your patience, see you.
